Terrorists Attack Radisson Blu Hotel in Mali


Around 10 jihadists armed with guns and grenades have attacked a Radisson Blu hotel in the centre of the country’s capital, Bamako.The Rezidor Hotel Group confirmed that 170 people have been taken hostage by the attackers.

Photos purporting to be of the scene have been streaming onto social media.

A senior security source said around 10 gunmen are thought to be inside the building, while another said they were heard shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’.

Automatic weapon fire could be heard from outside the 190-room hotel, according to reports.Very early in the morning there was gunfire. Apparently it’s an attempt to take hostages,’ another security source said.

‘The police are there and are sealing off the area.’


It is currently unknown which terror group the attackers are affiliated with.
