Identical twins, Emilie and Charlotte Meaud, 30, died
side by side in a hail of bullets as they shared a Friday night drink and
catch-up on the terrace of the Carillon bar.
Today their widowed mother and brother are in the capital
making arrangements for their bodies to be buried in their home town of Aixe
sur Vienne in Limousin, western France.
The town's mayor, Rene Arnaud, who knew the girls when
they were younger and was with their family when they learned of their deaths,
told Mailonline: 'It is a hard, hard thing for a mother to bury her child. To
bury two is unthinkable.
'Yet when I saw the family they had no hate in their
heart, just utter bewilderment. With what words can you console them? There are
none.'
The stylish brunettes are said to have lived in separate
apartments in Paris, where they pursued very different careers.
