Disney Erecting Fencing, Posting 'Danger' Signs After Gator Attack


Construction workers have put up a waterfront barrier at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Walt Disney World, three days after a toddler was killed by an alligator at the resort.

Meanwhile, Disney World released a photo of signs it plans to erect at all its resorts with beaches. The red, white and black signs say "Danger! Alligators and snakes in area. Stay away from the water. Do not feed the wildlife."

Previously, signs had said simply "no swimming."

Parents ‘Gifted’ Teen Daughter To Man Found With 12 Girls, Police Say


A Pennsylvania couple told authorities they “gifted” their teenage daughter to a man who helped save them from financial ruin — and thought the arrangement was legal, even after the man fathered two children with the girl.

Lee Kaplan, 51, was found living with the teen, now 18, as his wife, along with 11 younger girls, when a neighbor’s tip sent child welfare workers and police to his small Bucks County house on Thursday, police said. He was jailed under $1 million bail on charges of statutory sexual assault and corrupting the morals of minors.

Judge Orders Leonardo DiCaprio To Give Deposition In ‘Wolf Of Wall Street’ Lawsuit


A federal judge has ordered actor Leonardo DiCaprio to be deposed in a defamation lawsuit brought by a former Stratton Oakmont executive over his alleged depiction in the 2013 Martin Scorsese film “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

U.S. Magistrate Judge Steven Locke in Central Islip, New York, on Thursday said DiCaprio must be made available for questioning, which was opposed by Viacom Inc’s Paramount Pictures Corp, DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions and other defendants.

Russia Cries Foul, Rest Of World Welcomes IAAF’s Ban


Russia claimed the IAAF’s decision to continue its ban of Russian athletics on Friday was unfair and threatened legal action, while the rest of the world welcomed the move and urged the IOC not to go against it.

“We are extremely disappointed by the IAAF’s decision, creating the unprecedented situation of a whole nation’s track and field athletes being banned from the Olympics,” said the Russian ministry of sport.

Barack Obama has called the widow of Jo Cox from Air Force One to offer his "sincere condolences" after the "heinous" murder of the MP.

The US president spoke to Brendan Cox on Friday, a day after the MP was was shot and stabbed outside her constituency surgery in Birstall, near Leeds.

"President Obama offered his sincere condolences on behalf of the American people to Mr Cox and his two young children, as well as to her friends, colleagues and constituents," a White House statement said.

A fundraising campaign in memory of , who was killed yesterday outside her constituency surgery, has reached more than £100,000 hours after it was set up.

Money donated will go to the charities closest to the Labour politician’s heart, working both internationally and close to home.

One of the charities, the White Helmets, works to help those in Syria. Jo had been a committed advocate for Syrian refugees.

Ramona Fagan, 21, had only been in the country for a few days when the accident happened on Wednesday.
