Rape and Incest victims Will Now be Allowed to Have Abortions


Victims of rape and incest will now be legally allowed to carry out abortions in Northern Ireland after a landmark legal challenge to relax the country’s strict laws proved successful.

Before the challenge, Northern Ireland was the only UK country that didn’t take up the 1967 Abortion Act – meaning that terminations were only legally permitted in instances where the life or mental health of the mother was in danger.

A 70-year old man is the latest casualty in the renewed ethnic violence in the Northern regional town of Bunkrugu last Sunday.

It brings the death toll to three following clashes between the Jafouk and Jamong factions.
After a power cut to the area last Sunday, one group began firing shots and burning homes. The Regional Minister was compelled to call the Northern Electricity Department to restore power.

The crying coming from under a block of asphalt sounded like it was from a cat to Angelica Blount. But it turned out to be an abandoned baby that police say was deliberately buried under debris along a Los Angeles area walking path.

A 47-year old man was shot dead in the KwaMashu Hostels, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Monday.Police spokesman Major Thulani Zwane said the man was shot on Sunday evening in Jabula Road as he left a meeting.

“It is alleged that he was coming from a meeting when he was attacked by unknown suspects who opened fire wounding him on the chest and at his back,” said Zwane.

Man Jailed For Raping 8 Year Old girl


A 29-year-old man was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment for raping an eight-year-old girl, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Monday.

Lindelani Mbatha was sentenced last week for the rape of the girl in 2012.
“It is said that the victim who was eight-years-old at the time, had gone to Mbatha’s room to fetch some food at KwaXimba area. He closed the door, raped the victim and gave her R5,” said police spokesman Thulani Zwane.

Son Stabbed Parents


A man is accused of killing his father and injuring his mother because they didn’t include him in takeaway order.Ronald Pritchett, 32, of Purvis, Mississippi, was arrested after both his his parents were stabbed at the Louisiana home.

The incident took place on Wednesday.‘They ordered food from a fast food restaurant and didn’t include him,’ said John Fortunato, a spokesman for the police in Jefferson Parish.
His parents allegedly had to lock themselves in their bathroom when Pritchett became enraged.

19 Killed in Horror Taxi Crash

Michael Jones, a 44-year-old man from Kansas City, was initially arrested for assaulting his wife, 29-year-old Heather Jones, at their home and firing a gun at her.
When police started to investigate, however, someone told them that they should search the family’s back garden.

A 20-year-old driver has been charged with the murder of two African-Americans at Akwamufie, near Akosombo in the Eastern Region, in May 2015.
