Alana Duran was diagnosed with lupus at 12 years old and
as a result, her kidneys had failed.Her family had all been tested for a match but none of
them were able to donate their kidney.
After checking whether she was a match, her girlfriend,
Lori, decided to surprise Alana, who has been waiting for a kidney since 2011.
Lori, who met Alana on Tinder, put together an enormous
Tinder-themed box of goodies, which included scissors, star wars accessories,
gel pens and sweets.But it was the gift at the bottom of the box that was the
most meaningful.
She included a card that read: ‘Tattoos are cool but I’d
rather get matching scars’ with the news that she would give up her kidney so
that her girlfriend could come off dialysis.
Completely overwhelmed, Alana broke down into tears and
was left speechless.
