Jigawa State government yesterday confirmed that
four of its pilgrims died in this year’s hajj exercise while two others are
missing.
The head of the state’s 2015 Hajj Delegation and
deputy governor, Mr. Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia while briefing newsmen in his
office explained that, two of the pilgrims died as a result of the stampede at
Minna while two others died as a result of other illness. “ For those two
missing we presume that they died as a result of the stampede and their
relatives would be taken to Saudi Arabia for DNA test.”
