Aisha Buhari Launches Walk Against Cancer

Women have been advised to embark on regular medical checks of their health status to avoid infliction of cancer and other related ailments.

Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari made the remark in Abuja while leading women and men on a walk to remind Nigerians against the dangers of cancer.
Mrs Buhari who was represented by the wife of the vice president, Mrs Dolapo Osinbanjo recalled the large number of women and men that have been inflicted by cancer and are battling for life, while many have died of the disease.

In a press statement signed by the Director of Press to the Wife of the President, Zakari Yau Nadabo, Mrs Buhari however expressed happiness with the level of commitment by government and non-governmental organizations for their resolve to continue to take appropriate measures through enlightenment campaigns to combat the spread of the disease.

She also commended the wife of the Kebbi State governor, Dr Zainab Bagudu for spearheading the advocacy to mitigate the spread of the disease among Nigerians.
