To coincide with the
"Iron Lady's" 90th birthday, auction house Christie's will sell 350
historic and personal objects relating to Margaret Thatcher's personal life and
time in office as the British prime minister.
The decision however wasn't
reached without a controversy a phenomenon always synonymous to Thatcher
while she was alive and much after her death.
Christie's meanwhile said the
lots to be sold includes her red leather Prime Ministerial Dispatch box, signed
copies of key speeches and an award presented to her from President Ronald
Reagan.
The sale will take place next
month - 25 years after Thatcher left Office, at the end of her 11 year high
profile tenure as PM (1979-1990).
The online only sale will
open for bids on Dec 3 and run for two weeks until Dec 16.
