Edo Governorship Election: Ogiemwonyi Briefs Kins On Aspiration


Former Minister of State for works, Eng, Chris Ogiemwonyi has formally informed members of his kith and kin in Iduebo, Orhionmwon Local Government Area, Edo State of his desire to be the next Governor of the state.

At a well attended meeting in Iduebo, his place of birth, Ogiemwonyi said it was necessary to formally inform his family members before anyone else because of his believe that charity begins at home.


Ogiemwonyi who spoke in Benin Language, said the forum was also to be used to solicit their prayers and support in order to have a smooth sail in his dream to actualize his governorship ambition.

According to him, having served the country in various capacities, it has become imperative to move into a position where he could render selfless services to the people.


Expressing reservations over corrupt tendencies among many members of the society, he noted that what the people need now is a credible representation that would help move the state forward by ensuring even/ effective representation and development. The people in their various responses were unanimous in expressing their desire to give total support to 
“An illustrious son” whom they said they are proud of.
