Police are investigating after a man walked into a
downtown Cleveland men's shelter with a gunshot wound.
Police were called to the Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry
shelter at 2100 Lakeside Avenue about 6:40 p.m. Thursday, officials said. The
49-year-old man had been shot in the shoulder.
The circumstances of the shooting are unclear, police
said. The man was uncooperative with investigators and wouldn't tell them who
shot him.
Cleveland EMS took the man to MetroHealth with non
life-threatening injuries.
The shelter provides support and housing for men who are
homeless or in transition or crisis
