A 50-year-old man was shot in the face during an
attempted robbery Friday night on Cleveland's East Side.
The shooting occurred about 7:30 p.m. near the
intersection of East 140th Street and Glendale Avenue in the city's Mount
Pleasant neighborhood.
The man was taken to University Hospitals in critical
condition, Cleveland EMS confirmed.
Two unidentified men are suspected of trying to rob the
man, police said. Officers searched the area after the shooting but were unable
to find the men.
