Man 'Kills Girlfriend's Dog in Row Over Who Would Walk It'

A man is facing animal cruelty charges after he allegedly killed his girlfriend's dog in a row over who would walk it, it was reported.

Carlos Hernandez, 32, allegedly argued with partner Karem Belacazar over who would take pet chihuahua Honey for a walk in the rain early on Sunday morning.

During the heated exchange, Hernandez allegedly grabbed the tiny dog from Belacazar's arms and slammed it onto the floor, the New York Post reported.

The three-year-old animal was reportedly left bleeding from the ears and unable to stand.

Beloved pet Honey died a short time later with Belacazar 11-year-old daughter in the next room, the newspaper reported.
