Taylor Swift just got her own back on Kanye West
while accepting the biggest award of the Grammys.
During her acceptance speech for album of the year
she made a subtle/not subtle dig at the rapper in response to him name checking
her on his new album The Life Of Pablo.
As she accepted the award – the first woman to
actually take home that particular gong – she said:
‘I just want to say to all the young women out there
there are goung to be people along the way who are going to undercut your
success, or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but if you just
concentrate on your work, don’t let those people side track you.’
Yaaas Taylor.
Just prior to her swipe back at Kanye she thanked her fans for helping her get the award with her collaborators on stage with her.
Taylor’s dig came after the rapper included the
line: ‘I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, I made that b**ch famous’
on his new album. He originally claimed that Taylor had OK’d the controversial
lyric. Looks like she definitely didn’t.
