A new mother was allegedly seriously sexually
assaulted in hospital shortly after she gave birth.
The 23-year-old woman was attacked in the intensive
care unit hours after delivering her baby via caesarean section.
CCTV footage shows the suspect looking behind
hospital curtains, apparently searching for vulnerable women.
The man is believed to have tried to enter a second
nearby hospital just minutes after the assault in the Brahm Shakti Sanjivani
Hospital in India.
The second attack was foiled when a woman woke up
and raised the alarm.He fled the scene.
It is believed the suspect got through the medical
facility’s security by claiming to be a doctor.
Footage captured at Brahm Shakti Sanjivani Hospital,
west of New Delhi, shows the man walking around the clinic and chatting on the
phone.
Police have released the footage to gather
information for their investigation.
