Craig
Strickland‘s beloved wife Helen Wisner is calling on all the prayers the family
can get for her 29-year-old husband to be following alive following an accident
during a weekend duck hunting trip that killed his friend. The Backroad Anthem
member headed to a lake in Oklahoma with buddy Chase Morland, 22, while a
savage winter rainstorm tore through the state.
After the pair never returned,
authorities searched Kaw Lake and found the pair’s capsized boat as well as
Chase’s body, but so far they haven’t been able to locate Craig. Now a
distraught Helen is hoping that the power of prayer will help see their family
see through this distressing time, and that Craig will have somehow survived.
“Craig
is still missing. The search has been called for the night. It will resume
again in the morning with a sonar boat. Still need prayers,” Helen posted to
her friends and followers on Twitter Dec. 28. Earlier in the day she delivered
a slight bit of hope in that Craig’s dog was found alive, noting “Craig’s dog
Sam has been found. His boat has been confirmed as being capsized. They are
still searching for Craig. Please keep praying.”
The
brunette beauty even posted a lovely photo together of them with the tender
message, “We love you Craig Michael. Come home.”
