Graphic Content: Brothers Stamped on Dad-of-Three's Head and Left Him For Dead in Attack


Grant and Graham Murray were jailed today for the attack on James Martin in Motherwell which was described by a judge as "brutal and vicious".

Two brothers have been jailed for their part in a brutal unprovoked attack on a dad-of-three which left him fighting for his life with horrific injuries.

Grant Murray, 20, who was convicted of attempting to murder 38-year-old James Martin by repeatedly kicking and stamping on him as he lay motionless on the ground, was today sentenced to eight years detention.


The High Court in Glasgow heard that Mr Martin's jaw was split in two by the force of the blows, reports the Daily Record .His brother Graham Murray, 30, was convicted of assaulting Mr Martin by punching him on the head and causing him to fall to the ground and assaulting his son Jordan Martin by punching him on the head and body and pursuing him.

He was sentenced to 11 months in prison.
