Chelsea have reportedly parted company with manager Jose
Mourinho after their poor start to the Premier League season.
The Blues are just one point above the relegation zone
after a 2-1 defeat to Leicester City on Monday night, continuing a surprise
collapse just months after they finished as Champions in May.
It was originally thought that Juande Ramos could be in
line to replace the Portuguese coach, with various recent reports claiming the
Spaniard’s agent has been in London for talks with the club, but Gus Hiddink
has emerged as the likely replacement.
Any appointment made by Chelsea now would likely be a
short-term solution, with the lack of big-name replacements available thought
to be one of the reasons Mourinho lasted as long as he has.
