A puppy has made an amazing recovery after it was boiled
alive and thrown from a fourth-floor balcony – all because it chewed its
owner’s phone.
Tuffy was just six-weeks-old when the shocking abuse took
place. He was on the edge of death when 30-year-old designer Yan
Yingying found him lying on the street.
She rushed Tuffy to the vets at Animals Asia where Emily
Drayton cared for him.
Emily said: ‘That first act of kindness was that of Ms
Yan. She was the one who saw Tuffy lying at the bottom of the apartment
building, drenched and scalded.
‘The sight must have been so horrific – and I’m sure many
people would have walked past and pretended not to see. But she didn’t. She
took Tuffy to a local vet in Chengdu and paid for all his veterinary care. That
saved his life.
