A man destroyed a £2.7M supercar in what is believed to be China’s most expensive car crash ever. The man named in local media as Mr Liu, resident of Chongqing in China, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

The Koenigsegg Argera R supercar was driven into sidewalk barrier pylons early Sunday morning.Chinese media are referring to the incident as the most expensive car crash in Chinese history.

Witnesses report that Mr Liu never got out to survey the damage. Instead, he remained behind the wheel.

He covered his face with his clothes for two hours until a tow truck showed up.

It’s not known how much it’ll cost to fix the car, made in Sweden.
